Help! Nothing is working!

My sister and I were watching youtube videos on her laptop, when suddenly the whole thing shut down.

None of the lights in the front that would normally indicate that the laptop was charging or whether it was in hibernate mode, etc etc were working either (none of them lit up) Whenever I press the power button nothing happens.

did you check that the power cable you are using is working properly, perhaps it is a bad cord? also make sure your battery is properly seated in

Yes, the battery or power brick. Sniff around the power brick and the battery. If it smells like smoke, that is your problem.

It also may be your internal power supply.
