Default GTX 280m + PM45 Overclocking

So ive been all over the place and was trying to figure out real comparative performance figures to try and pair the 280m against a desktop counterpart. I have a 9800m GTS currently and the chip is pretty much comparable to a 9600GT which isnt that great anymore. So id say the 280m is around 9800GTX/250GTS speeds with the amount of shaders (and core)?

Also, is there any news on some form of overclocking on PM45 chipset yet? Ive looked for years and havent came up with anything besides NADA lol. Im afraid if i upgrade the GPU the P8400 in this laptop will be all derp with its slow speed.

It sounds like you already found the comparable desktop counterpart although I would say the 280m did somewhat similar to the 260 but that's just from what I can tell and I could be wrong.

Oh and I found this. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sage...5-systems.html

That utility allows you to adjust the RAM timings but not CAS and not OC the CPU. I guess unfortunately for me even after all these years PM45 has been out nobody will release something to OC on it.

As for the 280m, was just an educated guess on relative performance based off speeds and shaders. Notebookcheck doesnt really give me much to look at so figured id ask.
