Question GPU on laptop

Hi guys,

Since there is little room to upgrade GPU on laptop, I need to be sure that I'm getting the right one.

My selection of dedicated GPUs on laptops within my buying range are GeForce 9300M GS, ATI Mobility HD 3470 and ATI mobility HD 4570. Which one of these GPUs is for me, and will they go with Pure Video HD (NVidia) or ATI Stream?

I need this laptop for HD playback, and video rendering (nothing heavy, just conversion to and from DVDs and my DV camcorder).

Thanks a bunch for the help.
Peter

The 9300M and ATi M 3470 are both low-midrange chips, while the ATi M 4570 is more midrange. I imagine all three would do HD playback fine, and they'll all do video rendering but the 4570 will be a fair bit faster.

Keep in mind though video rendering also requires a decent CPU along with a relatively good GPU.

The higher up the list, the better the video card. I would not want to be gaming on any lower than a Class 2 card
