Good, somewhat inexpensive laptop with good Linux support

I'm going to school in the next couple of weeks for my Computer Science degree. The school I'm going to mainly uses Linux for their classes. And I need a laptop.

What are some laptops I should be looking into with good Linux support?

I'm no Linux expert, but as far as I know, HP has decent Linux support. Dell also has a new line of laptops made specifically for Linux and come preloaded with a distro. I think it's Ubunutu but I can't remember. I'm not a big Dell fan, but they're still pretty inexpensive and probably worth checking out.
