Looks good to me :p
even though laptops can't really compete with desktops in terms of gaming performance.... without getting expensive that is

Go to dell, search for Vostro, upgrade the GPU to an 8600 series.... It only adds like $99... And do some other upgrades if you would like.

sweet deals on those $1000 laptops nice catch and true to that no price comes close to that...

I would agree with maroon.
8400gs is horrible for gaming.

I customized a Dell Vostro notebook that came upto $909 before taxes, but could be cheaper and this is what it included.

Dell vostro 15" with truelife
C2D 2ghz
2gb ram
8600gt
1490 wireless card
84whr battery
2.0mp intg camera
120gb hdd

it could be much cheaper if you take out some unnessary stuff.

And btw, the vostros are on sale right now and wont last too long. ANd they dont come with all the crap usuall retail laptops come with cos vostros are directed to businesses.

A laptop's upgrade capacity is highly limited compared to a desktop machine, making its gaming life much shorter. If you're shopping for a game computer, I would highly consider a desktop. It will save you some money too :)

Agreed for the price you could build a crazy cool desktop that won't be oudated near as fast. Now if you need the portability than The lappy that your looking at might not be so bad for the price sad thing is theres not going to be a lot of decent gaming laptops out there for under a grand.

Hey guys,
