I agree with that. It's like bringing your car to the dealership for repairs...

Better off figuring out how to do it yourself than paying a fortune...

Tools? I think everybody has a screw driver. About all you need to work on a PC.

A screwdriver doesn't do everything. Laptops are more sophisticated than desktops. So many tiny screws.

Tools= automobile mechanic tools in reference to the "dealership" comment. Savvy= knowledge. Time= sometimes it is easier to let someone else with superior skills to the job in 1/2 the times that it would take you to do it while you do other things that : 1) make you more money that what your paying for the job in the same time frame, 2) takes care of other responsibilities= family obligations,etc. 3) I always have a "honey -do list" that takes precedence over tinkering with my computers.
