Fujitsu LIFBOOK n6410 graphics probelm

ok here's the deal, i bought and installed grand theft auto IV on my laptop (model in title) the "Can You Run IT?" said everything passed and my video ram was 256mb. system info and gpu-z also says 256mb. but gta 4 (running patch 1.0.6.0) says i have 127mb of ram! other games that need 256mb vram work saying that i had the right amount of vram. pls help i want a working copy of gta 4 on my laptop (if you say "use your desktop" or something my desktop doesn't have the right juice run gta 4) anyways pls help

Is this the latest patch? Did you try the latest drivers from ATI?

i got all the latest drivers from ATI and fujitsu and the gta 4 patch is the latest. the video card im talking about is a ATI Mobility radeon x1400

Yeah, I looked that up. Is there a setting in GTA that allows you to specify how much GFX RAM is being used?

That may very well be the reason. It puts a lot of power on your CPU.

ok thanks for you help that website helped me a little kudos to you! i will just have to play at 7-15FPSn until R* releases a patch thanks. and if you find something else pls post here i check daily
