Hey guys, just going to revive this old thread as I'm still looking. A couple of things to keep in mind. First, I'm stuck in the Toronto area so with the crappy exchange rate and extra on shipping it's tough to find a good deal on ebay. I've been looking through the classifieds here trying to find something around $500-$700 CAN ($400-$580US) and I bumped into this guy today:

Hard Drive 750 GB SSD
Looking at about $450US Seems to be the best deal I can find right now. I'd prefer to stick with a 15" as I'm concerned that this wouldn't even run in the car, I think it would exceed what the power inverter can draw. Remember this is to be run most of the time in the car so battery life is important and the ability to run off a power inverter while the car is running is important. 17" screens concern me.
