Default Feeling a bit silly!

Hi guys,

Feeling a bit silly having to ask this but im stumped!

So I have a toshbia satalie a350 (I believe is the model)

I get a problem with intermitent vertical coloured lines. Ocasionaly they are black and white.

Ive stripped the lap top down, checked the connection, the fan, the inverter etc. Reinstalled the vid drivers, loaded an alternate OS (Ubuntu) restored the system to factory etc. I cant figure out the problem. When I connect to an external moitor I get zero issues with screen. Even if the laptop screen goes then the image on the external monitor is fine. Apart from replacing the actual screen im lost.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Mark.

What happens when you use the laptop's LCD. What issues are you getting with it?

And you say you got a new screen? And it still does it? Has to be the video cable or the GFX card.

No mate, no new screen, tried it on an external monitor though and no issues. Do you think replacig the full screen would be best?

YEah, replace the LCd on the laptop. There are guides online how to do it.

I bought from here a couple times: LAPTOP SCREEN, LCD panels from $42. Dell, HP Compaq, Toshiba, Acer, IBM Lenovo, Sony, Gateway, Apple, Asus replacement screen display panel

I didn't think I was until I had to get into my Dell to swap RAM that was under the keyboard. Then the first time I replaced the screen. Once you do it, you'll never forget.
