external hd enclosure

I did a search for hard drive enclosures, but that didn't help much. I've just got a laptop to replace my old desktop that fried its power supply. I want to take the old hard drive (SATA 120GB) and put it in an enclosure so I can use it with my laptop.

My question is twofold:

The laptop is Vista, but the old hd is xp. What problems will I run into when I try to use it?? Will I have to install Vista on it??

Could someone recommend a decent 3.5" external enclosure that can accept SATA??
