External Hard drive...

I'm trying to run an external hard drive, its supposed to be plug and play. I have it powered up, plugged in to my Lap Top and the green light is on on the case, as well I can hear it BUUUT my Lap Top is not reading it, or at least I don't think so. It is not showing in "My Computer"...

Any ideas as to why it will not show?

How long have you had it? Does it work on other laptops? Can it be viewed under Disk Management (Control Panel >Administrative Tools >Computer Management >Storage >Disk Management)?

You may need to change the drive letter.
