I have a MacBook I got from the company and it's nice only downfall is that they only had cd writers put into the machines so the employees couldn't burn DVDs at work, does anybody know if I need a Mac specific DVD writer or will it work if I just pull out my DVD writer from my Toshiba laptop and put it into my MacBook??? Yes I do realize the Mac had the slit and the Toshiba has the DVD tray, anybody know how this can be done short of buying anything?

MACs drives are made differently. You can use a USB DVD Burner.
