downloading while in sleep mode?

hey was wondering if long downloads will pause or will keep going if laptop goes into sleep mode

thanks i figured it out this morning lol it was paused i wish i could leave it downloading while i slept but my fan is so loud

You can't download while it's sleeping. When it sleeps, it turns off CPU, Hard drive, and Internet, only keeping a bit of power to the RAM (so that it doesn't lose your current session). Downloading requires CPU, hard drive, and Internet, so it won't work in sleep mode.
