Microsoft says 1:1 to 3:1 (flash capacity:system memory) for best results.

So if you have 1GB RAM, get 1GB to 3GB flash. Maximum is 4GB. It also has to be fast enough to be useful (Vista will refuse to use it if it's too slow).

Lets say I have a desktop computer with 4gb of ram. I can't use a 4gb flash drive for readyboost to make it 8gb can I?
