Hey guys,
I see TF is getting bigger and better, I'm really happy for this community who taught me so much about PC Hardware, and also Audio.

So I got my Dell XPS 14z (L412Z) around a year ago and the fan has been acting up recently.
It has three main modes: quiet, noticeable and bee. Whenever I go into Chrome/ any other application it goes bee. My temps are fine 50c which is totally normal for a laptop like this.

How do I:
A. Clean the sucker?
B. Get a software that can control the fan I don't care if it voids warranty.
C. Diagnose programs that cause it to go bee mode?

I really want my laptop to go back to normal before I get to my new college in one week.

Thanks a lot,
Preacher.

Bee mode would be a filing fan or it heating up. I'm guessing heating up as failing fans tend to have a steadily pitched whine at all speeds, and it increases with increase in speed. Try vaccuming any dust out of veted areas. Also, put the laptop on a cool, flat, hard surface. This helps to keep it from overheating. A laptop cooler isn't a bad idea.
