So my cousin sent me an email on some dirt cheap laptops but I am not sure whether or not they are worth the buy. I was trying to look up some specifications but it was a little difficult finding some. What do you guys say? Do you think this laptop is worth the $399.99 price? Or is there something better for around the same price?

By the way, the site he gave me to check out is this:

Well basically we are getting one for my little sister who is off to college. She won't be doing any gaming or anything that demands a lot of power. All she will be using it for is basic internet surfing for research papers, AIM, Microsoft Office, and any other applications that typical college students use.

Also, for another $25 you can add in an Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor.

What do you guys say? Worth it for those purposes or a waste of $400?

Hello,

For the purpose it will be used for. Just fine. My wife has a Inspiron 1501 which cost us over $1K and she uses it for mainly those purposes with less specs. Great deal.

Cheers,
Mak
