Dell Latitude C840 Questions

I got this laptop from a friend.

These are the issues I get

1. Only get 16 colors
2. Win98 SE
Will not shutdown/restart in setup or after. Will in safe mode. When I hit MS Dos I only get a blinking cursor

3. Screen- It only shows middle part of screen unless I hit F2 then it gives me full screen.

It uses a NVIDIA 64 meg Geforce 440 and I can't find drivers anywhere.

Do you think its a hardware or software problem

You can download the drivers you need from another model laptop. Try the Inspiron 8100 or 8200. It's all the same hardware so the software is the same, too. Trust me, I've done it several times before. Dell just tries to make it difficult.
