Dell D600 always loses WiFi connection

I have a Dell D600 and I have the exact same problem. It worked fine until recently, now it seems to have trouble connecting to the internet even though it has an excellent signal. I've also noticed that it connects better when I am physically near the router/modem. Let me know if you find anything out.

Yeah I actually have 2 of these laptops and they both do the same thing. I recently noticed that the screen flickers sort of when it picks up and loses a connection. I'm wondering if these wifi cards in these laptops have some power issues or something.
