Dell 1501 not showing proper MHz

I just recently bought two Dell Inspiron 1501 laptops, both with Windows XP. The only difference between them is the RAM, mine has 2gig and my girlfriend's has 1gig. When I hit Windows+PauseBreak on my computer it only shows the processor speed at 792MHz. When I do the same on my girlfriend's, it shows 1.80GHz like it is suppose to. I ran CPUZ on both systems and everything matches, except the RAM, it is made by different companies. Any ideas what could be wrong?

EDIT: It was a problem with the power settings. FIXED

Nothing is wrong. Your processor is throttling down the clock speed. It saves battery power and reduces heat.

The occurrence of CPU throttling will depend on the power profile you use.
