Default Currency Information

Hello, I just need an information
I have an Acer Aspire laptop where, which has an adapter with an output of 19 volts 3.42 Amps (65 Watts)

Now, the laptop wouldn't turn on with this adapter, ( only on battery it will turn on)
so I switched the adapter with an 18V , 3.5 Amps LPS (65 watts) adapter

Now the laptop won't turn on at all
Did the 0.08 amps diffence killed it ?
Plus...what the heck is LPS ?

btw, when I switched to adaptors, still no lights turned on....no nothing.
It just won't turn on on battery now either

Dunno about the LPS part, saw something on google about Limited Power Supply but take a look here LPS. The extra AMP shouldn't have done anything I don't think but you never know.

My HP laptop supports 18.5 volts at 3.5 amps or 19 volts at 4 point something volts
That's why I thought the 0.08 (3.42 to 3.5) amps difference shouldn't cause any trouble.

Should be fine then... Have you spoken to HP about this? You might need to return the laptop.

You probably killed the battery...

I'd assume the plug end is broke, or the chargeing board.

battery looks fine....I bought a universal adapter ( i needed it anyway) and now finally some lights turns on ( but only the battery light, indicating that it is probably charging....but still the laptop won't turn on.

I just used the DC Specs of my HP as an example, the laptop that won't turn on is Acer Aspire 3050
