Default Core 2 Duo.

Im abit confused right now. Dell is offering this offer on an Inspiron notebook.:

Free upgrade to Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5300 (1.73ghz)

but the laptop (before the offer) had a:
Intel® Centrino® Duo Processor Technology - Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2450 (2MB Cache, 2GHz, 533MHz FSB)

Isnt this a downgrade?

Default Re: Core 2 Duo.

the laptop had a core duo
the upgrade is for core 2 duo

centrino is an intel branding for a system if it has an intel cpu, intel chipset, and intel networking
