Cooling Pads

It appears on the model you chose has fans that blow in the same direction as your laptop, which is good. Read the reviews carefully for each model.

I prefer coolers that have their own ac adapter because they usually have faster fans. I have a model with a USB hub and card reader.

I got a fairly nice one for under $40 by Rosewill, it fits my 17" laptop nicely and is powered by USB. However, it still gets pretty hot, and as a last resort, took a few old case fans from dead power supplies, taped them together, soldered the wires, and use that to blow a strong air current across my laptop's output vent to take the heat away when gaming. This actually does lower the temperatures. The problem with most cooling pads (mine included) is that even though they blow air and such, they still block the laptop's cooling fan input vent (located on the bottom of the PC). USB fans often can't push enough air to make up for this, so that's why I use extra fans.
