Compaq Persario V2000 Cooling Fan issue

Hi, I have a compaq notebook and the cooling fan does not function. I replaced it and still does not work. My question, are there any fuses on the motherboard of a Persario V2000 that could interupt power if bad?

Could be a jumper setting. Could just be that plug used for the fan is fried as well.

This unit took a lightning strike through the wired port not the power supply. Don't see any physical damage however, it knocked out the Ethernet port. It now has "no audio device" along with no power to the cooling fan. Everything else works. I could bypass the bad power plug I suppose and add a USB sound card or replace the motherboard completely.
