Default College Laptop

im starting college on the 13th of september, and im going to be doing a course in 'ICT for Practioneers National Diploma' and im probably going to need a laptop.

basically what laptop can i get for a budget of £600? it must have the following specs or better:

dual core processor
1024MB ram
15" screen
80GB HDD
DVD drive
vista home premium

i have my eyes on this one: Sony VAIO N21E/W Laptop Intel Core Duo T2250 1.73GHz 1GB 120GB 15.4" DVD±RW WLAN Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

Look into Dell Outlett. Thats where they sell refurbished laptops (mainly cancelled orders). I just got one with 2 gigs of ram ,120 gig hd and the other specs you mention and it cost less than 600£

Wow yeah! dude thanks i would never have looked otherwise. i can see a great laptop with all my specs and more for £300! Bargain!

id step over my own dead mother for a deal...

Im also starting college on September the 10th.

I'm doing a BTEC national diploma in computing.

Im looking into buying a laptop too, but seeing as my girlfriend lives in America, im going to buy one and have it shipped to hers, and she can ship it to me. Or bring it to me next time shes over.

It's so much cheaper in america, its unreal.
