CD drive not opening

The CD drive on my laptop is not opening. When I depress the button the light comes on but the drive just will not open. Any suggestions???

Turn off the laptop - take out the battery. Then take out the drive (unsrewing it, depeding on the model you may have to remove the entire bottom half of the unit) and ensure that a CD isn't jaming it or that the case isn't overlaping where the drive pops out.

Hello,

Is a CD still in the drive? Also, can you manually eject the tray? - there should be a small hole on the front of the tray where you can manually eject it using a paperclip.
