Can you sell your laptop OS liscence to anyone?

So i just bought a laptop recommended by "MindoverMaster"

and it comes with the basic windows 7, i plan on putting 7 ultimate anyways.

Is there a way i can sell the liscence i will not use for some money back?\

I believe on Dell you can sell back your liscence but i dont know if it works with ASUS

any ideas?

Believe you can' as the license is only for Asus laptops.

No you can't. It is an OEM License which is tied directly to that machine and that mother board. You can't sell it to anyone. The only option you have is to not select an OS to install on the machine.

Yeah, i was referring to sell it back to the brand which you bought the pc from (asus in my case)

You cant sell it back. You can only select to not have an OS installed when you purchase it from them. That isnt selling anything back to them, that is just not choosing to have an OS pre-installed. Big difference in the words. But that can only be done if Asus offers such an option.

I have not seen such an option on a laptop in quite some time. So i highly doubt Asus has the option to buy the laptop with no OS pre-installed.

Just keep the license, it may come in handy to have it on the laptop one day.
