Can you guys shoot me some suggestions. Laptops with backlit keyboards only.

I'm in the market for a new laptop and a feature very important to me is a backlit keyboard.

I have tried looking but it is tough to find one like this that isn't a gaming computer. Currently, I have a Toshiba A205. (1 GB RAM, 160 HDD, Intel Core Duo @ 2.00 GHz, Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit) I've owned this laptop for about 3 years without a problem. Very good computer for everyday use, but I need something new in the $600-$700 range.

Again, backlit keyboard is very important to me. Would prefer Toshiba but not an absolute must.

U guys got any ideas?

The Dell Studio 14z offers a baclilt keyboard in addition to being a very nice system all around.

One thing to be aware of is it does not have an internal optical drive.

Id like to stay away from dell. Ive heard too many horror stories.

I do like this build a computer concept they have going here tho. Does any other company do this?

Dell is fine by me, I have their Vostro 1500 Laptop, and their E207WFP lcd. Never had a problem. I'm not sure who else does backlight laptops though.

Could you possibly just use a USB keyboard that has a backlight?
