Default Buying a Refurbished laptop

Hello, all. I need a laptop for school, but I'm on a tight budget. I read on a few places that refurbished laptops are usually fine as long as you buy them directly from the manufacturer. With that in mind, I found the following Toshiba for 350 dollars and free shipping.

Toshiba 15.6” Satellite L855D-S5220

AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M Accelerated Processor
Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), SP1
Graphics Engine
AMD Radeon™ HD 7640G
6GB DDR3 1600MHz memory
Hard Drive
640GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial ATA)
Optical Drive
DVD-SuperMulti drive (+/-R double layer)
Starting at 5.3 lbs.
Mercury Silver
AC Adapter
65W (19V 3.42A) Auto-sensing, 100-240V / 50-60Hz input
Li-Ion (48Wh, 6-Cell)
Battery Life
Up to 6.12 hours
Display Size
15.6" widescreen
Display Type
HD TruBriteŽ LED Backlit display
Display Resolution
1366x768 (HD), 16:9 aspect ratio, Supports 720p content
Headphone jack (stereo), Microphone jack (mono), SRS Premium Sound HD™, Standard stereo speakers

I think it might be a good purchase for the price, but I wanted to check here first. What do you guys and gals think?

Thanks for your help and input. I realize $350 can't get you a whole lot. That's why I'm looking at refurbished models to begin with, and this one looks like a good snag.
