Default Buying a new laptop

Price max: ~$1,500 give or take, depending on what's in it.

What I'm looking for:

I want something extremely well constructed. I want something that can take a beating.

The keyboard must be backlit.
I'd prefer the screen size to be ~13", 1280x800 or higher res.

What I've been looking at...
MacBook Air
MacBook Pro
ASUS ZenBook

Any ultrabooks you guys would recommend?

Just looking for alternatives. Might not want a mac, depending on what's available

I don't care too awful much about power. I just want something for every day tasks. I have my desktop for heavy number crunching. I want something light, sturdy, and portable.

It depends on what Apple releases during WWDC.. I've always owned a MacBook..

Zenbook, iFargle. You will NOT be dissapointed. I hope I have the money so I can get one of the second gen models with a 1080p screen They are extremely well constructed!

Edit: I NEED that tempered glass S7!

Man.. Too bad I'd have to wait four months to get it. Well. We shall see what Apple comes out with at WWDC... That will be a deciding factor.
