Broken laptop charge socket

Hey all my acer aspire 4220 charge socket is broken and I hear it can be pricey or hard to replace? I was thinking of updating eventually anyway, so do you think it would be worth trying to fix cost wise? Or should I look into getting a new laptop?

If your charge socket (A.K.A. A/C power charger) is bad/broken, you need a new one. There are several places to get these relatively cheap.

Updating? There is little you can do with laptops, but its memory and hard drive.

If you are willing to buy another one, please do, but your current one still doesnt have an A/C charger.
