Well I bought this new notebook pc it's a alienware I think I got it for a good price but I want some of your guys opinions.

Heres the specs...

Model : Alienware M15X

Processor : Intel Core I7-740QM 1.73
Hard Drive : 500GB 7200 RPM
Memory : DDR3 1333 Mhz 2x 4GB
Disk Drive : Bluray-ROM with DVD-RW
Graphics Card : ATI Mobility 5730 1GB (I think it is 1gb) GDDR3
Battery : 9 Cell 85whr
Operating System : Windows 7 64-BIT
Screen : 900p HD LED (Web Cam and Mic of course)

and the minor stuff...

Bluetooth, Wifi N Card, Windows Works 9.0
etc w/e

Price paid...
$1,109.81

Thoughts?

How do you like it so far ??? I was thinking of get the same thing just with minor differences. That was a better price then what I found one for.
I'm leaning towards the ASUS G73JW-A1 now.... Because they are now sold out of the ASUS G73JW-xA1.
I must say that the Alienware does look sweet !!!!!!!

Please provide links that would be a better price ? Or buy.

I have a says g60vx model and it does not come any where close to comparing

Pros so far
Customize colors of keys
Quad core is powerful
Only had it for like a week.
Over clock is easy

Cons
Tech support sucks
No HDMI instead you have to buy this 15 dollar adapter called displayport

That Alienware was still overpriced in comparison to the G. Wasn't bad but could have gotten more.

I wonder what could be a better price can you provide links.

I think I have to disagree on the first one.

You have a i7 720 in that one clocked at 1.6 while the Alienware has i7 740 clocked at 1.73
6GB in the asus while the alienware has 8GB
Asus has a bigger screen I give it that one
ASUS has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 is a better graphics card while the Alienware has the 5730.
But to really put the icing on the cake the Alienware has a Blu-Ray player something that is going to become more and more popular.

I still think that the alienware is a better buy.

as for the second link...

It's almost the same pc
accept for 4GB of ram
DVD-RW

My Alienware was brand new lol.

An extra .13mhz isn't going to kill your performance. The difference between the two are slight.
Anything over 4GB RAM is overkill. So the extra RAM is not needed.
Screen size, over 15" is way heavy.
GFX, I'm not sure.
You can get your own Blu-Ray drive later on.

Still, the Alienware is overkill, and not worth your money. If you are happy with it, what does it matter?

I agree 100%.

OP,
the thing is you already own one and you appear to be happy with it because you're clearly defending it. If you're happy then that's the real important part.
