Default which is a better deal?

which one of these is the better one of the two?
Toshiba Satellite P505D S8935 18 4 Widescreen Notebook Computer With AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Processor RM 74 by Office Depot
or
HP - Pavilion Laptop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor - dv6-1245dx
is the intel processor really that much better than the amd?

HP. Intel's mobile cpu's are much better.

Yeah cause the sellers at Best Buy happen to know everything they are talking about. XD

There are quite a few threads in this area that compare things like battery useage of Intels vs AMD CPU's in laptops. Read them.

As for the answer, there isnt one. Intel may be the better CPU but that doesnt mean that it is right for everyone and their purpose. You maybe able to live with the AMD and not spend as much. Who knows.

My wife does just fine with her AMD CPU Laptop. It all depends on what YOU are going to do with it. without that info we can not answer.

Word Processing and Microsoft Office
Adobe Photoshop and Photo editing
Video editing
download and watch videos
school work

^ the HP is still a better deal, the core 2 mobiles are years ahead of the amd turion's. and the hp is cheaper.

The HP. Adobe is what would sway me. Photoshop on a Turion is very tough.
