Best laptop for under $400

I am going to buy a laptop. I was wondering the best laptop you can get for under $400.

You can get several under $400. What do you need it for? Screen size? RAM size? HDD size?

I just need it for work, I'm mostly going to be using the internet and a few house appraisal applications. I want at least a 15.6" screen. The rest I don't really care about i just want to know the best deal I can get.

I wouldn't get HP. Their computer line is going to be eliminated. Support for it will be minimal.

Acers are good deals, I have heard terrible things how bad their customer service is. I also have heard that the don't give you a recovery cd. I would rather not get an Acer.

I'm not sure about their CS. You can easily make your own recovery CD. Or, no doubt it has a recovery partition. A lot of vendors these days don't include a recovery CD.

It's kind of hard to find a good i3 for under $400.
