As you can see from the title, I am going to be starting college as a Physics/Computer Science double major, and I am looking to get a laptop that is less than $700 (although I can be a little loose with this). I am also planning on using it to watch a lot of movies. I'm going to use an external monitor, so screen size really isn't a concern. I am not planning on gaming. Here are a few that I thought may be possibilities. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Newegg.com - TOSHIBA Satellite L655D-S5067 NoteBook AMD Turion II Dual-Core P520(2.3GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145

Newegg.com - ASUS K52 Series K52DR-X1 NoteBook AMD Phenom II Triple-Core N830(2.1GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

Newegg.com - ASUS N61 Series N61Vg-A2 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8700(2.53GHz) 16" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 220M

Newegg.com - Gateway NV59C57U NoteBook Intel Core i5 450M(2.40GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

Get the Toshiba or the ASUS K52. They are of the best value in your list.

ASUS and Toshiba are my top two.

For what you are planning to do, that would be best. :)

Thanks for your reply! I was pretty much set on the K52, but I noticed another Asus model at BestBuy for the same price ($680):

Asus - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i3 Processor / 15.6" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Dark Navy - U52F-BBL5

What do you think of that model as compared to the K52? I can see the one at BestBuy is 500GB instead of 320, which I like, but as I do not know much about hardware I am not really sure how much of a difference there is between them other than that.
Oh...I just noticed it looks like the one at BestBuy has integrated graphics. How important is it to have a good graphics card for movies?

Get the K52.

The Best Buy ASUS may have more hdd space, but you must look at the rest of the package.
The Intel UMA Graphics are very low compared to the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (K52)
