alienware model: D9T product code: D900T

my dad found an alienware laptop.

Alienware Area51m 7700 Clevo D900T Laptop

someone was throwing it out and he grabbed it. no idea whats wrong with it.

i looked at it, hard drive is there but not in the laptop, ram is there, and nothing is missing, but i plug it in and get NO POWER. The cord for it works, i see the light meaning it is working, and no one would throw out an alienware without replacing a cord first to see lol.

i know a good bit about computers and laptops and im gonna take it apart and see whats wrong. but because of it being an alienware i wanted opinions on what could be wrong and how to go about diagnosing the problem and solving it.

You will be amazed what people throw out.

Considering the specs, it might be worth your while to see if you can replace the hard drive and get windows on it.
