Acer Converter Port

So I just ordered the Acer Aspire V5-552G-8632 from newegg and one of the ports it has on the back is the Acer Converter Port. I understand it is Acer's version of the Apple Mini Display Port/Thunderbolt but what are there any actual connectors out there for it? I've been looking and I have yet to find a single one that isn't someone trolling the net. Anyone come across one on there Journeys across the internet? I feel this was a failed attempt by Acer to compete with Apple. I mean it's the exact same port visually.

Acer North America Online Store - Acer Mini CP to VGA Converter

That's the only accessory I found specifically for that port. They also say you can plug in a "normal" mini display port plug and it functions fine too.
