$500 buget non gaming laptop

Hi i need help picking out a decent non gaming laptop.
I don't want to spend more than $500 on it tho, since is going to be mainly used as learning tool, and maybe some online videos every now and then.
I'll mostly be running learning softwares and audio as well
I'm trying to limit my gaming capabilities at the moment i know it sounds weird.
i can be very addictive wen it comes to games, and is getting in the way of more important things like getting a career
i got a buyer for my desktop is about 1 year and a half old it can run most new games on high,
and is way to easy to play games instead of doing what you should be.
i know a lot of you know what i mean.
i saw that newegg has a nice selection for a decent price.
i know is simple to pick one out there, but i don't want to pay $500 on a piece of junk

What screen size are you looking at? If 10-11" is OK, then get a Netbook. I recommend the ASUS Eee models. I have a 1005HA myself.

i have a notebook already that, i'm going to be selling as well.
Is an aspire one 9 inch
i need something with more ram and power and bigger maybe 15 inch screen.
i found this looks nice for a low price, if i can get better that'll be great
