i used to have a pentium 3 that ran at 1ghz and i put server 08 on it. took all night to install. that's with 512mb of ram at like 100mhz. and in the end it went up in smoke and i turned it in to art.

Acer 22" 1680x1050

It feels HUGE compared to my old monitor. 17" (non-wide screen) LCD.

For some reason.... its about twice as wide.

Widescreen slaps standard ration screens in the face, I went from a 17" CRT to a 19" samsung and the difference was well GREAT!

iwould definitely say 1600x1200 has more pixels than 1440x900...

The desktop isn't actually a 1999 Compaq, it's a Sempron build in a 1999 Compaq case (with a glowing blue LED fan where the old USB ports used to be, actually looks pretty cool).
