First VGA card? a Trident vge card. It came with 80286 12MHz machine. Can't remember the size of VGA RAM but definitely something pathetic.

OMG I think I have that card too, in my 386. It is ISA.

And that was my first non-integrated GFX card...

64mb ti4200 on a dell 8200. it was top of the line when i bought it a few years ago.

There were very few choices at the time. The option I had was either a Hercules or a Trident. Voodoo came much later and yes, I bought the Voodoo when it became available also. Very similar.

voodoo 2 but that doesn't really count because it was a family machine, the first one I got with my own cash was a Ati 9800 pro
