nvidia is known to be a little more powerhungry, even tho the latest ati cards are monsters themselves... it will be compatible as long as you have an AGP slot, thats what those boards are sold in, in this category i would suggest the 9800 pro over any nvidia board... unless you are willing to wait for the 6600 gt AGP to become mainstream and available.
