Default Yes another External HDD question.

But my question is simple. I have a western Digital external hard drive, I 'think' that its the WD passport. its small, red [if that matters], 320 Gb, USB powered. Will it damage the drive at all if I were to leave it Plugged in constantly? I'm running out of room on my laptops hard drive, and until I can afford to get a new internal drive I was going to use this one as another semi-permanent drive. The laptop stays in my room hooked to a monitor, external speakers, and USB mouse and keyboard. so its essentially a desktop. If I'm leaving any info out let me know.
