I actually wouldn't doubt an 85% performance advantage at the time that article was written, considering the drivers were terrible during the initial few months of the geforce 6 cards and ati cards looked really good at the time

Yes, thats why I got the X800 Pro, because everybody, including Tom's Hardware was raving about how much better the X800 Pro was than the 6800 Ultra. It turns out that the reason it was so much better at the time is because of the crappy Nvidia drivers.

if only there was a card 85% better than a 6800 Ultra.... heck, even a 7800GTX is only like 40 - 50% better (right?)
