A psu is a "power supply unit" its the box that the mains power lead goes into. it supplies power to all the components of the computer.

sweet I just can't decide if I want to dish out the extra money from the 9800pro for the x800 though...

A 350W Antec PSU can handle an x800 pro, right? And what hardware sucks up the most power anyways?

I'd say the CPU; I heard that the higher the frequencies the more power it uses, so that's why Pentium M processors in laptops are like 1.4-1.6GHZ instead of 2-3GHZ

I know the X800 uses far less power than the Nvidia 6800 Ultra, and it looks better IMO
