Default WTF!? 4 GPU in SLI?

Gigabyte is planning on releasing a motherboard that can use 4 GPUs total. This means 2X double-gpu cards or 4X single-gpu cards. I know that Nubius has gone on a few rants about SLI. Even I think that this new board is ridiculus...

that that's crazy

but i think it just uses 2 dual GPU's in SLI, not 4 in a single card

"Also, ATI's approach appears not to be limited to just two GPU - or four such as in this case. Crossfire may be able to support up to 32 graphic chips, sources said."

I know it doesnt use 4 in a single card It can use 4 cards, each card with one gpu.

This one will let you use 2X double GPU cards. Totalling in 4 GPUs.

Boy, Nubius should love this one when he sees it.

Yet another waste of money... (4) Nvidia 6800 Ultra's PCIx - that's like $2,200.00... No thanks... I think they are really stretching on upgrading technology now. If they wanna create something worth $2,200.00 they should design and create a stand alone graphics component. Something external with it's own case, cooling, power supply, ram, the whole nine yards. It could all be connected to the motherboard by an adapter through the back of the PC case/PCI slot and connected to PCI Express card.

That is what they need to work on.
