Post Is it worth the extra $$$?

was gonna build some1 a new rig pretty soon; they're on a *not very cash in the trash* budget, but i was wondering if the 6800 was worth the extra bucks over the 6600GT... it costs roughly $30 to $40 extra and if any of you have it, or any1 know any benchmarks/reviews whatever on how it overclocks, performs, stuff, that would be kool...

thanx

yes 6800>6600GT is this pcie16 cause im not sure if you can unlock the pipeliens but its still a strong card even without the extra 4 pipelines

Ok...

I have it, and if it's only $40 extra then go for it in a heartbeat.

The difference in performance is incredible between the two. The 6800 will be in the position that the 6600 is in now, a year or 2 from now.

As in, it can play games well.

yeah, i'm getting that... so if you unlock pipes or whatever, do you bump up to 16pipes or what? if you can, that would be hel of cool, almost as good as a GT if you overclock...
