No, do not buy it. You pay $799 for a graphics card and don't even get Pixel Shader 3! Pixel Shader 3 is going to be one of the key components of Unreal Engine 3, so its likely even this card will struggle with it. Wait for the next generation Nvidia cards. They are going to be awesome.

I'm all about budget computing. Getting the cheapest stuff that'll perform the best. From what I read about the 6600GT's they are a decent graphics card for like 200. So i'd definetly save the extra 600 and buy one of those myself. I'd never go over 400 for a GFX no matter what the situation.

Pixel shader 3.0 isn't necessary. I doubt anything will use it for quite some time, and f you bought this you would have enough money to get the next card anyway.
