won't start

I tried adding a new video card to my older computer and when i powered up it just started beeping. Can someone tell me what that is about?

were u using onboard video before? because u need to go and disable that in ur bios first

no it was the pci video card that came w/ the computer

then you need to go into ur bios and change your video settings from pci to agp.. because your bios is looking for ur video card at ur pci slot.. and when it doesn't find it there it gives you a bios beep error code (video ram not found).. so make sure that your card is properly insterted into the agp slot and change the settings in ur bios and you should be able to enter windows and isntall the drivers... but make sure to uninstall all the drivers from your previos video card
