Default wont power up

This isnt a big deal realy, mostly curious to why. My old pos dell had been working fine, until acouple days ago a message with fatal error has error popped up after start up and could only go into safe mode, now thats happened before ive fixed it (mostly likely by refortmant i dont remember). but the problem is all of a sudden it wont power up. When i press the power button nothing happens. I would normaly think it was the power supply but i never heard anything to indicate that, my other idea was that the cable connecting the power button to the mobo wasnt connected, but it appeared to be (hard to tell as the thing is built so its nearly impossible to do anything to it). I checked the outlut as well and it was good, at this point of out of ideas.

The power supply doesn't always go out with a POP or BANG. One of mine died and made no noises at all.

Anything on the mobo look fried?
