I'm new to this forum, but it seemed like the perfect place to get input about a question I've been researching for a couple of weeks.
We're about to welcome our first child (any day now!) and it got me wondering:
is there a cheap wireless camera that could double as a webcam?
Rather than buying a $250 baby monitor with video and sound monitoring, we decided it would be cheaper to buy a wireless surveillance camera that we could view on our computer (which we have hooked up to our TV as the monitor). Amazon.com: LYD W203E1 Wireless Camera Kit with Upto 4 Channels and 100m Transmission Distance (Silver): Camera & Photo
Is there any way of using this audio/video of our newborn as a webcam so we can skype with the rest of the family? I'm hoping it can be done for $50 or $60, but I'm new to all things tech, so I thought I'd get some opinions before blowing my money.
Thank you for any direction on this issue!!
