Default Wireless Question

I have a wap11 router and a wpc11 pc card in my laptop-WIRELESS When my pc is idle (not surfing the net) my signal is 100% and strong--as soon as i open my browser and try to connect to a page--my signal drops and at times i see that the connection dropped-it says no signal-then i wait a few seconds and the signal is back to 100% and strong!! What would cause this? I upgraded the firmware installed new drivers-tried all the channels...

Thanks for any info... MARK

Yes, could be cordless 2.4 GHz phone. Also could be "line of sight" between your router and you. Try going into the router interface and playing around with the antenna spread. Also, look at the manual's FAQ...may have something else you can check.
